Time management

The major issue concerns a sensible approach to routine activities within proper time management measures. It turns out to be crucial to schedule the working day so that tasks are done at appropriate times. Automation (or, in short, doing certain things “as the matter of course”) will allow you to better focus on tasks that require more work and attention.

The most common tasks – automatically

The most common recurring tasks are administrative matters. These include, for example, completing office hours, checking email, or making short social media posts.

How to automatically reply to emails

Real-time communication is displacing daily writing and replying to emails. Unfortunately ,writing to customers or business partners with whom the degree of connectedness is low comes with the inability to use instant messaging. But that’s not entirely the point. The important thing is to have as many contacts as possible in any of your communication apps. The people you spend the most time talking to, direct superiors/subordinates, regular co-workers. It’s also a good idea to create group conversations that include only people specifically involved in the project. This way, the heart of the matter – that is, writing back messages – will become automatic and integral to the rest of your daily tasks.

Social media – posts

If your duties include posting on popular platforms, make sure the work is organized. There is often a need to populate your company’s board daily. Therefore, if possible, schedule some posts in advance. This way, although you will spend more time first, you will be able to put off this daily routine for a few days and deal with more important matters.

Of course, this is not always possible. The events to which you should react in social media are unpredictable. Still, things that recur periodically, routinely – can easily be planned well in advance.

Access to information

In some industries, employees are required to keep up with world events. The plethora of news sites can be overwhelming. That’s why it’s a good idea to choose a few sites that offer information most relevant to you and enable push notifications. This will help you avoid a glut of unnecessary content.

Research

There is often a need to do research. As you know – you can spend hours on it. So it is worth reaching for a virtual assistant, such as Google Alerts, which will notify us of important things, monitor various changes and automatically send us information to our email box.

Routine tasks – summary

Of course, examples of simplifications and automatism can be multiplied. Reaching for useful tools and focusing on more significant tasks will surely help us achieve our goals faster.
